Do we need permission from our utility?

No — the readings are already yours. Wattfield includes the standard authorization forms; most utilities and registry operators process them within days.

What about buildings without smart meters?

Framer is fully visual with no code needed, but you can still add custom code and components for more control if you're a designer or developer.

Where is our data hosted?

In the EU (Frankfurt and Dublin), under a GDPR data-processing agreement written for public bodies. Meter data never leaves the region.

How accurate is weather normalization?

Each building gets its own degree-day model, validated against three years of history. Drift is only flagged at 95% confidence — no noisy alerts.

How does procurement work?

Pilots sit below most national direct-award thresholds. For rollout we contract through existing frameworks, with a standard DPA and SLA attached.

When does early access open?

Q4 2026, in cohorts of ten municipalities per quarter. Waitlist order decides who goes first.
